Best for those who have passed exams or are ready to submit paperwork today.

I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO

Getting licensed can feel like a maze. Most states (like Florida, California, and Georgia) follow a standard “4-Step” framework.

1. Verify Your Experience

Most states require 4 years of verifiable experience.

2. Pass the Required Exams

You typically need to pass two or three exams:

3. Proof of Financials & Insurance

States want to know you won’t go bust mid-project.

Credit Score: A score of 660+ is often the “magic number.” If you’re below this, you’ll likely need a Surety Bond.

Insurance: You’ll need General Liability and Workers’ Comp (unless exempt).

4. Background & Fingerprinting

Most states require a clean criminal record or an explanation for past issues, along with live-scan fingerprinting.

  • Eligibility & Credit Check

We verify your 4 years of experience and run a credit check (660 FICO required or Surety Bond needed). We also confirm age (18+) and background check eligibility.

  • Fingerprinting

Electronic fingerprints must be submitted via Live Scan at least 5 days prior to application submission for the background check.
